Enrich your visit with the Castine Virtual History Tours. Explore our town and learn about our historic sites in two separate tours either when you visit Castine or in the comfort of your own home.

Take the “Castine History Highlights Tour” to get an overview of Castine’s five centuries of history.  Or take the “A Tale of Two Wars Tour” to learn how two wars fought between Great Britain and America – the American Revolution (1775-1783) and the War of 1812 (1812-1815) – impacted our town and the nation.

These tours are projects of the Castine History Partners, a coalition of non-profits established in 2017 to meet the growing demand for information on the history of Castine, Maine.

The partners include Castine Community Partners, Castine Historical Society, Castine Touring Company, Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Maine Maritime Academy, Wilson Museum, and Witherle Memorial Library.
