Facilities Use

The Castine Historical Society’s Mitchell Room, which is on the lower level of the Abbott School, offers an intimate space for a variety of functions. The room is made available to community groups, organizations, and schools with prior approval as long as it does not conflict with the Historical Society’s use.

The Mitchell Room is handicapped accessible, including its restroom. The heated space is available year-round; it is not however, air conditioned in the summer. A limited number of folding tables and chairs are available for use.

The Castine Historical Society does not charge for the use of its Facilities, but a donation from users is welcomed.
